Shale Oil Production Increase | Russell T. Rudy Energy LLC
“Rigzone” reports that the U. S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) predicts shale oil production will increase approximately 75,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) per month during May and June. The largest increase, 26,000 bopd per month, is projected for the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas, bringing the June rate to 1.4 million bopd. The Bakken shale in North Dakota is expected to increase to 1.1 million bopd during the same period, with the Permian Basin of West Texas and New Mexico coming in at 1.4 million bopd. Gas production is also expected to rise slightly during this period as well.
