Our Controller, Suzanne White, attended the South Central Chapter Conference of the National Association of Professional Care Managers last month. Their annual conference was attended by over 50 professionals, many of whom own their own businesses, as well as exhibitors ranging from health care service companies to trust management companies. Suzanne reports it was very impressive to hear about the day to day work that Professional Care Managers perform. They help families out everyday when their aging parent or family member can no longer take care of themselves. The Care Managers can take on as much or as little responsibility as the family needs. For example if the family is living elsewhere, the manager handles finding doctors and setting appointments to bill paying and managing finances. Many of these services are tailored to assist people with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, and the services expand as the patient’s needs increase.
Russell T. Rudy Energy, LLC is reaching out to Care Managers, Guardians, Estate Planners and family members who may need assistance in selling oil and gas mineral interests of an aging family member or client. In many cases it is simply a part of estate planning in the twilight years, in other cases it may be necessary to sell to satisfy other financial needs.
Dinner at the famous Mi Tierra in San Antonio’s Mercado Square was a great way to end the first day of the conference. Everyone had a great time!
