TGS Involved in 2 New OK 3-D Seismic Surveys | Russell T. Rudy Energy LLC
“Rigzone” reports that Norwegian seismic contractor TGS will conduct two new 3-D seismic surveys in the Oklahoma portion of the Anadarko Basin. These projects will cover over 1,000 square miles in highly prospective areas.
Project “Loyal” will span 589 square miles in Kingfisher and Grady counties. The survey will target the Meramec, Cana Woodford, Woodford Shale and Hunton intervals within the STACK fairway. The project should be completed by yearend 2015.
TGS will also initiate the “Blanchard” survey in early 2015 covering 433 square miles in Grady and McClain counties. The project will focus on the Mississippian and Devonian intervals within the South Central Oklahoma Oil Play (SCOOP). The survey will be specifically targeting the Woodford and Springer Shales.
