Halcon Cuts Drilling Program in Response to Price Drop | Russell T. Rudy Energy LLC
“Rigzone” reports that Halcon Resources Corp., which operates in the Bakken and Eagle Ford shales, is revising its drilling budget in response to recent decreases in the price of crude oil. While original plans called for an 11 rig program in 2015, the company now anticipates only 6.
Not all Bakken operators are following suit however. Hess, a major player in the North Dakota, has just boosted its five year oil and gas forecast reflecting its bullish expectations for oil prices.
